ASFM is a private, secular, nonprofit international day school for ages 3–18. It offers an American Curriculum with AP courses, aligned to Common Core English Language Arts and Math, Next Generation Science Standards, SHAPE America for PE, National Core Arts Standards for music and visual arts, and CASEL for social-emotional learning. The 212,000-square-meter campus in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León serves Elementary, Middle, and High School in distinct spaces, with ongoing renovations. A 1-to-1 laptop program supports learning, and the MSHS Library provides more than 17,483 items plus production studios and digital resources. The school opened in 1928 and now serves about 2,400 students, with a modern campus near Huasteca Canyon since the 1990s. ASFM emphasizes service, averaging over 21,000 hours of community engagement annually (93% of students participate). Extracurricular offerings include Destination Imagination, the National Honor Society, and TEDx Youth ASFM, along with athletics such as soccer, basketball, and track.
