Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

Step 1. Birth dates and grade correspondence. Students are placed in the appropriate grade level based on chronological age for Elementary School (Kinder 1 to 6). Middle School and High School are not placed by chronological age, but by last completed grade and an admissions assessment. The 2026–2027 school year guidelines show the age and grade ranges used for placement. The process ensures placement aligns with the program requirements.

Step 2. Schedule and appointment. An appointment is scheduled to tour the school and clarify any questions. If a grade has space availability, the student will take an admissions test. This step advances the applicant toward admission.

Step 3. Admitted students. If admitted, a formal acceptance letter is sent via email along with the next steps required to complete enrollment. The acceptance letter confirms admission and outlines enrollment requirements. The admissions team provides guidance on documents and deadlines as part of the process.

Step 4. Enrollment. Admitted families must complete the enrollment data form, sign the enrollment contract and code of conduct, submit all required documents, and pay the required fees. Enrollment and tuition fees are revised each year, so contact the school for the latest figures. Separate applications exist for Early Childhood, Primary School, and MS/HS.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

The school offers grants and scholarships with more than $1,000,000 USD offered in grants & scholarships for 2024–2025. The annual report highlights the Grants & Scholarships program and showcases scholarship recipients and graduates attending universities.

ASPV is an independent nonprofit school in Puerto Vallarta offering a bilingual, bicultural education from early childhood through high school. It delivers a dual curriculum with a U.S. high school diploma and Mexican bachillerato, and is accredited by SAIS, Cognia, SEP, and UNAM. The Early Childhood program uses a play-based, inquiry-driven approach aligned with NAEYC practices, building bilingual proficiency from the start. Primary School provides about 70% English instruction and emphasizes literacy, numeracy, and analytical skills across both languages, with project-based learning, technology integration, sustainability, and service learning. Middle and High School operate on a block schedule with a broad range of electives; the High School includes Advanced Placement courses. Graduates earn two diplomas and are prepared for university abroad. The campus features two libraries with over 14,000 titles, on-site technology, a cafeteria, and more than 15,000 square meters of sports fields. Notable programs include STEM+ Outreach, Model United Nations (VAMUN), and the Music Program.
