The division provides English language certifications such as TOEFL iBT, TOEIC, and SIELE, among others. It also features a Self-Access Learning Center to support language learners.
Student organizations foster community, leadership, and personal growth. Student Ambassadors are selected to promote ATS and represent the school to prospective families. Associations like the NHS and the Student Council provide opportunities for teamwork, service, and academic development.
The ATS Legacy Association is a community of alumni mothers dedicated to enhancing ATS facilities, programs, and the overall educational experience. It funds initiatives through events such as the Movie Night, Marlin Dash, and the Golf Tournament to support infrastructure and campus improvements. Founded in 1917, The American School of Tampico is a bilingual and bicultural international school in Tampico, Mexico. The academic program runs from Early Childhood through High School, with AP courses available in high school (eight AP options). Students graduate with a Diploma once they meet the graduation requirements, including full-time enrollment for three of the last four years and full-time status in 12th grade.
