The school teaches in a bilingual manner with instruction in English and Spanish. The Language Centre provides additional Spanish language support to meet individual needs. Britt Academy, Playa del Carmen, is a bilingual international day school for ages 3 to 18. It delivers the Mexican National Curriculum (SEP) through the Knotion Education platform, with competencies organized into Communication and Expression, Scientific Perspective, and Social Participation. A Language Centre supports mastery of English and Spanish, while technology-driven learning aligns to the UN SDGs. In Primary and Junior High, core subjects (Spanish, English, Maths, Science) are taught in an integrated, creative framework alongside digital Global Citizenship and Robotics; High School adds business and enterprise skills such as finance and marketing. Britt Academy is part of Orbital Education, a UK-based group accredited by COBIS and CIS; in 2019 Orbital Education received the Queen's Award for Enterprise. Facilities include small classes, technology labs, a 450-seat auditorium, STEAM and robotics rooms, pools, and extensive sports courts. Extras include STEAM activities, languages, and performing arts through after-school clubs and cultural trips.
