Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

The school offers education from preschool to high school and follows the American educational model. English immersion from an early age goes beyond language instruction, promoting creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, collaboration, lifelong learning, adaptability, and persistence. Two exclusive campuses serve each stage: Campus Ánimas for preschool and Campus Lencero for elementary through high school, providing a personalized environment. The academic program focuses on intellectual, socio-emotional, physical, digital, and innovative skills through student-centered learning in an inclusive environment, and Conscious Discipline and socio-emotional learning are integral components.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Culture of Care is a promise, not a program. Every student and adult in the community deserves to feel safe, supported, and valued every day. Safeguarding is embedded in the curriculum and includes a three-part program: Relationship & Sex Education, Protective Behaviours, and Digital Safety & Citizenship. Staff wellbeing is supported, families are welcomed as trusted partners, and safeguarding policies are enacted as daily actions.

Colegio Americano de Xalapa, established in 1983 as Colegio Renacimiento, operates across two campuses in the Xalapa metropolitan area. The Ánimas campus serves preschool students, while the Lencero campus accommodates primary through high school levels, featuring a professional-sized soccer field and multiple basketball courts. As part of the Sendica Education network, the school employs a bilingual English-Spanish model. Early childhood education begins with full English immersion before Spanish is formally introduced in the third year of kindergarten. The academic program incorporates practical technology application through dedicated "Makerspaces" and science laboratories. The school is specifically recognized for being the first institution in Xalapa to implement the international "Conscious Discipline" framework, formally teaching students emotional regulation as a core part of the daily schedule. High school students have access to specific areas, including a tunnel lounge equipped with a billiard table and a designated terrace.
