History: The Colegio Británico de Guadalajara was founded by Dr. Gloria Cecilia Paredes Águila and Dr. Bernabé Martínez Villalpando to launch a forward‑thinking educational project for its time. The formative goals included bilingualism through mastery of the English language, an integrated approach to learning, and the use of technology as an indispensable teaching tool, along with recognizing multiple intelligences and developing competency‑based programs that integrate knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. The project's core differentiator is its humanist philosophy, centered on people to achieve quality and warmth in school services. The school has operated for fifty years, celebrating half a century of stories, smiles and learning while continually innovating in response to a changing world.
Community: The school is bilingual with a humanist philosophy. Our methodologies and study model have positioned us as a high‑performing academic institution. We offer extended hours, a healthy cafeteria service, extracurricular activities, and a Homework Club that give families greater scheduling flexibility and provide students with a rich, comprehensive educational experience. Our campus is located at Av. López Mateos Sur No. 2020, Chapalita, Zapopan, Jalisco, and facilities are described as very safe for the peace of mind of parents and the integrity of our students and teachers.
Colégio Británico de Guadalajara is a bilingual school serving Maternal, Preescolar, Primaria and Secundaria, delivering the Cambridge Secondary curriculum in English and Spanish. Maternal y Preescolar Bilingües introduce English as a second language using concrete materials and personalized monitoring to support happy, engaged learners. Primaria Bilingüe includes Robótica y Computación and maintains a high academic level within a safe school environment. Secundaria Bilingüe offers Introducción al Francés, Programming and Technology, and Cambridge Certification, with ongoing emphasis on bilingual education and technology integration across levels.
