NC SCHOOL Cuernavaca is a community where collaboration between the school and families is consolidated. NC Day is an annual event held at Six Flags to foster greater integration among community members across all seven NC campuses; the park is closed to the general public for attendees, with the facilities and staff available exclusively to attendees and the school staff also present. Cultural Week promotes culture and the arts throughout the school year; activities across all sections include a book fair, storytelling, theatre performances in English, music concerts, art and painting exhibitions, a talent show, a poetry contest, a dance competition, and conferences for adolescents and parents. Social participation in education requires the systematic collaboration of parents, parent association representatives, teachers, school leaders, alumni, and other community members; it focuses on planning, monitoring, and accountability to improve school services.
The School for Parents offers the opportunity to share experiences, learning from the opinions and observations of other parents and mothers; and from the contributions of professionals who study the development of children and adolescents. It offers conferences, courses, and workshops free of charge throughout the school year for parents of all sections.
