Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school provides socio-emotional education across all levels. In preschool, the COBU program develops socio-emotional education and humane formation, promoting positive environments and virtue development through activities that guide children to observe their surroundings, identify needs, investigate, and apply what they learn. In primary, students learn about their emotions and the emotions of others, developing strategies to manage, express, and recognize them to promote personal and community well-being. In secondary, the community works with families to support comprehensive socio-emotional development, helping students value and care for themselves and develop authentic leadership and service. In Bachillerato, the NET virtues program supports socio-emotional education and human formation, fostering positive environments and a disciplined, virtuous approach to learning.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The school operates a bilingual English-Spanish program. In preschool, bilingualism is part of the program. In primary, students expand their vocabulary and learn English to a high level, using reading resources typical of native-English-speaking contexts. In secondary, English is taught to a high level using similar resources. In Bachillerato, students continue to develop English to a high level and obtain Cambridge certifications; starting from the seventh grade, French is taught as a third language.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing is supported through socio-emotional education and virtue development across levels, with interventions that help students understand and manage their emotions and foster self-care. The school emphasizes positive learning environments and collaborative partnerships with families to promote personal growth, responsibility, and healthy social development.

Safeguarding

The school maintains a Safeguarding and Safe Environments Policy with three sections: a conduct code for everyone who interacts with minors, a clear procedure to report and address breaches, and an implementation and verification guide. All staff are trained in the policy, and each school designates a Safeguarding Leader to oversee training and compliance. The policy prioritizes protecting the dignity of all students, explicitly condemns all forms of abuse, and requires reporting any transgressions or suspicions to the appropriate authorities. There are clear, community-wide procedures to report concerns, ensuring prompt action and alignment with legal requirements.
