Scholarships and Financial Aid

BECAS DEL GOBIERNO FRANCÉS: Scholarships are awarded to French families based on their financial resources to help pay tuition. They are intended for French students aged 3 and up, registered in the World Registry of French citizens living abroad and enrolled in a French school. The calls for these scholarships can be consulted on the Embassy of France in Mexico's website. BECAS DEL CONSEJO DE GESTIÓN: The Scholarship Council provides a percentage discount on tuition, announced in March each year and applicable to the following school year. The scholarship excludes enrollment, incorporation, fees for new families, extracurricular activities, books, materials, uniforms, and other charges related to changing cycles. Eligibility includes: being an active student of the Colegio, not having French nationality, being up to date with all payments, not having had a scholarship for more than three years, good academic standing, and remaining current with monthly payments. Criteria include: good academic performance, scholarships awarded from 2nd grade of primary, and selection based on socio-economic study results. Procedure involves filling out Annex 1 (Solicitud de Beca), assembling documents (Anexo 2), and submitting before the stated deadline (updated yearly); the Scholarships Committee reviews applications, and approved families proceed to an interview with a social worker for the socio-economic study. The committee then deliberates and notifies families of the decision in June. For more information contact Ana Covarrubias or Claudia Sánchez. FORMATOS include Convocatoria 2026, Anexo 1 Solicitud de beca, Anexo 2 Listado de documentos.

The Lycée Français de Guadalajara delivers the French Ministry of Education curriculum for students aged 3 to 18 within an AEFE-affiliated, non-profit community. From maternelle through lycée, classes are conducted in French; English begins in primary and German in preparatory years. A regularisation program strengthens French, and the European English certificate is internationally recognized. The BAC is an international diploma opening doors to universities on five continents. The school maintains a multicultural identity, with a cross-border Franco-Mexican educational community and a 15-year project guiding students toward autonomy and critical thinking. The campus includes a nutritionist-supervised canteen blending French and Mexican cuisine, a school garden linked to Eco Franco, and three libraries (mediatheque, BCD, and CDI) serving different levels. Architecture emphasizes daylight and green spaces, with buildings designed by Alberto Kalach and colleagues around a guava tree. Activities include physical education, music courses, a Web Radio studio, and UNSS-coordinated after-school programs.
