Weekly chapel services and small group activities are part of the curriculum. Chapel is teacher- or student-planned and provides a time for teaching, worship, fellowship, and prayer; it is a leadership development opportunity. The school emphasizes multicultural diversity and admits students from diverse cultural backgrounds, treating them as special, cherished individuals. A spiritual emphasis retreat or camp occurs at least once a year to support spiritual formation and community. These elements together support students' social and emotional development in a Christian learning environment.
The primary language of instruction is English; whenever possible, all classes except for Spanish will be taught in English. All students and designated MCCA personnel are expected to use English on school grounds and when participating in school functions off grounds.
Health and emergencies procedures address situations involving health or emotional risk. The policy notes that in cases of serious health or emotional risk, staff may address the issue and may override confidentiality requests. The school uses emergency procedures to ensure safety. Chapels and spiritual activities provide ongoing support for student wellbeing.
Admissions require a current physical exam and vaccination record to protect student health. The school provides a Grievance Procedure for parents/students to raise concerns, and safety procedures include Earthquake and Fire drills as part of safeguarding.
Mexico City Christian Academy (MCCA) is a private international Christian school serving students ages 4 to 18 in the northwest sector of the Mexico City metropolitan area. The school follows an American curriculum with most classes taught in English; Spanish language instruction is available. Biblical principles are woven throughout the program, and weekly chapel services support character development. Core values are Truth, Excellence, and Cultural Diversity. Founded in 1993 to serve missionary families, MCCA has grown into a multinational community that also enrolls non‑missionary children. It is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Middle States Association (MSA-CESS) as of 2021. The curriculum integrates online electives, fine arts, and physical development, with an active library and early technology use. Facilities include a College Board Testing Center and AP courses. Cultural activities, community service, and spiritual retreats are part of student life, supporting students' lifelong learning journeys.
