Robotics and Advanced Maths Club are offered as specialized clubs to develop analytical thinking and problem solving. After-school and evening clubs provide advanced pathways in Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Swimming, American Football, and Cheerleading, with elite teams representing Monteverde across Quintana Roo and touring the USA. Clubs for Passion and Excellence include Advanced Maths Club and Advanced Robotics.
Art and Theatre are offered from Preschool through Elementary, providing opportunities for visual and performing arts. Preschool activities include Swimming, Football, Art and Robotics, Theatre, Yoga, and Chess; Elementary offers Swimming and Football, Basketball and Gymnastics, Art, Theatre, Robotics, Cheerleading, and Chess. An emphasis on creativity and performance underpins the Arts offering.
Full English immersion is the primary language of instruction. Spanish is taught as a second language and French as a third language from 6th to 12th grade. With more than 40 nationalities, the community provides cultural exchange. In the 2025–26 school year, Monteverde International School became Cambridge International-accredited and will introduce Cambridge IGCSE and A Level programs in 2026–27.
