The Social–Emotional Learning (SEL) program is an integral part of San Roberto's approach to education. Specialists in education and social-emotional learning care for students' academic journeys. The SEL program covers five dimensions: self-knowledge, self-regulation, social awareness, collaboration, and problem solving. The approach supports the whole child, with emphasis on empathy, integrity, and personal growth across the school day. An advisory program and counseling teams further support students' emotional development and wellbeing.
The school provides Learning Support through a team of specialists in literacy, technology, and counseling to support teachers in helping students with their emotional and academic needs. There are reading and writing specialists, counseling teams, and educational psychologists to support students' wellbeing. Every student has a Personal Learning Plan (PLP) to guide their academic growth.
San Roberto has a full English immersion experience in which students learn English skills throughout the school day. Language acquisition emphasizes immersion and literacy development with the Literacy Skills program. All core subjects in Early Year are taught in English, creating bilingual students with a global outlook. In Elementary, 80% of classes are conducted in English while Spanish reading and writing are reinforced. The school offers English Language Acquisition and Literacy as part of its curriculum.
San Roberto supports student wellbeing through a dedicated counseling presence and educational psychology support. An integrated learning approach develops the whole child through mind, heart, and spirit. Social-emotional learning is embedded in daily classroom practice. Advisories meet weekly to support academic, social, and emotional development. Both campuses host reading and writing specialists, counseling teams, and psychologists to support wellbeing.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
