The school conducts a personalized interview to introduce SISU's educational model, costs, and facilities. Step 2: Submit the Admissions Form, photocopies of the parents' and child's IDs or passports, one passport photo, birth certificate copies, the child's insurance, medical report and vaccination certificate, educational assessments or specialist reports if applicable, and official transcripts or report cards from the previous kindergarten or school if applicable. Step 3: The admissions office reviews submissions and may request additional information. Age-specific assessments are scheduled, which may include a meeting with the principal and/or short activities in the classroom. A decision on acceptance is communicated to the family. Step 4: When a place is offered, the registration fee must be paid within seven days; if not received, priority is given to other applicants. The next steps are to fill in the Student Registration Form, read the parent handbook, and proceed to tuition fee payment; bank details are in the tuition fees document.
SISU Finnish School Cancún is a Finnish-American K-12 campus serving ages 3 to 11, with expansion planned to Grade 12. It operates as part of the SISU Schools network alongside the Saltillo campus. The SISU Way blends Finnish and American international education models in a bilingual program. Core subjects (English, Mathematics and Science) are taught in English within a cross-disciplinary, phenomenon-based framework that integrates English, Mathematics, Science and Arts rather than traditional subject silos. The program centers on five core areas plus SISU skills to prepare students for life and to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and holistic growth. Levels run from SISU Kids (KG) to SISU Students (Elementary), with experienced teachers drawing on education in Finland and international contexts. The school emphasizes a loving, meaningful learning environment and a strong sense of global citizenship, with attention to cultural roots and heritage alongside modern, future-focused competencies.
