The school provides social-emotional learning support through a School Social Worker and a High School Counsellor who are part of the student support team. The Social Worker addresses welfare concerns and coordinates with other professionals, while the Counsellor offers guidance to students and supports wellbeing and transition planning.
The school has a Special Education Needs team that includes the School Social Worker, the Psychologist, and primary and secondary managers. It aims to provide equal access to the IB Diploma Programme and to meet learning needs of students with disabilities, learning difficulties, or giftedness. It identifies struggling learners and refers them to the SEN team and arranges inclusive assessment and support with appropriate documentation and confidentiality.
Shine Ue School offers bilingual education in Mongolian and English. English is the main language of instruction for Grades 9–12; English is taught by foreign and bilingual teachers from Grade 1, with additional extracurricular English courses for students who need extra support. English is used in school clubs and many subjects, and language planning supports bilingual learners.
Mental wellbeing is supported by a School Social Worker and a High School Counsellor. The SEN team also includes a Psychologist to support learners' mental health, and the school counselor collaborates with English teachers to provide guidance as part of student development.
The school operates a Complaints Policy to review and resolve concerns about student welfare, including rights violations. A social worker handles complaints related to children's rights, and issues are addressed with confidentiality and timely responses.
Shine Ue School is a private international school in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, offering a blended international curriculum designed for students pursuing higher education abroad. The school provides the Myanmar Curriculum alongside Cambridge Secondary, Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge International AS Levels, Cambridge A Levels, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Shine Ue became the first Mongolian school to implement the IB Diploma Programme in 2018 and was authorized in 2022 to offer Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge AS/A Level programs; the school is accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization and Cambridge Assessment International Education. The curriculum includes advanced math and English, with all other subjects taught to international standards. English and Russian are taught in eight dedicated classrooms, supported by science laboratories for Chemistry, Physics and Biology, a library with over 10,000 books, a music hall and a sports hall, two computer laboratories, and high‑speed Wi‑Fi across the campus. Class sizes are limited to 25–30 students, with specialist teachers delivering instruction in English.
