Application, registration and recurring fees

Tuition billing schedule and installment amounts (2025–2026)

- Option 1 — Single payment:
- Pay 100% of annual tuition before August 15, 2025.

- Option 2 — Two equal installments (50/50):
- 50% due before August 15, 2025; 50% due by December 4, 2025. Example installment amounts (50%):
- PK3–KG5: MAD 43,525 per installment.
- Grades 1–5: MAD 48,500 per installment.
- Grades 6–8: MAD 51,500 per installment.
- Grades 9–12: MAD 61,000 per installment.

- Option 3 — Three equal installments (1/3 each):
- 1/3 due before August 15, 2025; 1/3 due by December 4, 2025; final 1/3 due by March 15, 2026. Approximate installment amounts (one‑third):
- PK3–KG5: MAD 29,016.67 per installment.
- Grades 1–5: MAD 32,333.33 per installment.
- Grades 6–8: MAD 34,333.33 per installment.
- Grades 9–12: MAD 40,666.67 per installment.

- Option 4 — Ten monthly payments:
- Ten equal monthly payments starting August 15, 2025 and completed by the end of May 2026 under a signed and notarized payment plan. Monthly amounts (10 payments):
- PK3–KG5: MAD 8,705 per month.
- Grades 1–5: MAD 9,700 per month.
- Grades 6–8: MAD 10,300 per month.
- Grades 9–12: MAD 12,200 per month.

Payment terms and collection actions
- Accepted means of payment: bank deposit (Bank of Africa — deposit slip presented to the Business Office for receipt), checks payable to THE AMERICAN SCHOOL OF TANGIER, and payment by bank card (TPE).
- Collection remedies for past‑due accounts include withholding of records, withholding of diplomas, and refusal to allow a student to continue attending classes until bills are settled.

Boarding and boarding fees
- The school operates as a day school; no boarding fees are indicated for AST.

Other costs and typical additional charges
- Facility and material fees are charged annually as stated above (Facility Fee: MAD 2,500; Material Fee: MAD 2,500 for KG–G12; MAD 1,000 for PK).

American School of Tangier (AST) is a non-profit school governed by a Board of Trustees. It delivers American curriculum with Advanced Placement courses to students ages 3 to 18 and operates with direct and indirect support from the U.S. State Department, along with partner campuses in Marrakesh and Ben Guerir. The PK–12 program is knowledge-rich and balanced, prioritizing English, Arabic, Mathematics, Science, and History, while also fostering Music, Art, Physical Education and French. AST pursues authentic learning within a liberal arts framework that integrates STEAM across disciplines. The 15-acre campus sits opposite the Spanish Consulate, with an additional 20 coastal acres at Cherfian Rocks, blending historic and modern facilities. USAID-ASHA projects added a 12‑classroom wing and a Maker Space, upgraded the field, water drainage, solar power and heating. The library houses more than 9,000 volumes. Extracurriculars include ASAs and clubs in Arts, Culture/Language and Community Service, and MASAC athletic participation.
