The Center is located in the upper area of Tangier, between the General Consulate of Spain and the Spanish Institute Severo Ochoa. The total area is about 16,889 m2, of which 11,621 m2 are built and 5,268 m2 are landscaped. The Center comprises four buildings or modules that house classrooms for the different levels, teacher workrooms, and support spaces, as well as sports and recreational facilities, a garden, green spaces, and parking. It offers spaces to support teaching and student activities, including language, music, art, informatics, and other specialized areas.
The Center features a gym and three outdoor patios with sports installations. In the patios there are five basketball courts, two handball courts and one volleyball court for Physical Education activities. These spaces support a wide range of PE classes and school sports.
Academic facilities include 27 classrooms and 3 Flexible Grouping Rooms. There are 3 Primary Education Meeting Rooms and 1 Infant Education Meeting Room. Specialized spaces include 1 Arabic Language Room, 1 Language Classroom, 1 Music Classroom, 1 Computer/ICT Room, 1 Library, 1 Art Room, and 1 Psychomotor Room. The Center also has a Gym and dedicated storage areas for audiovisual materials, sound, psychomotricity, furniture, and general teaching materials.
After school, in collaboration with the AMPA, the Center offers a range of extracurricular activities from Monday to Friday. These include football (soccer), basketball, cinema, dance, workshops, and theatre.
Colegio Español Ramón y Cajal is a Spanish international educational centre in Tangier, operating under the Spanish Ministry of Education's Education Abroad program. The curriculum, established by the Ministry, provides an integrative view of Spanish and Moroccan cultures, ensuring both Spanish and Moroccan languages and cultures are represented. Linguistic competence is developed in Spanish, Arabic, and English or French, depending on the language studied.
