Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

The Portfolio of the student is a digital record available throughout LFILM. It centers on six educational pathways: four institutional ones (PEAC, PES, Parcours citoyen, Parcours avenir) and two school-specific ones (Parcours linguistique and Parcours numérique). The six pathways organize learning around artistic and cultural education (PEAC), health education (PES), citizenship, future orientation, language development, and digital literacy. This framework supports intellectual development and helps students track progress and plan for the future.

Arts and Creative

After-school workshops offer a balanced mix of sports, arts, and leisure. They include gymnastics, swimming, baby gym, and infant swimmers; dance (Hip Hop, Street, Zumba); and a range of martial arts such as fencing, boxing, taekwondo, and karate. They also cover team sports (basketball, tennis, football), creative arts (theatre, theatre improv, theatre in English, singing), cinema/audiovisual, radio, and robotics.

Cultural and Language

LFILM uses a plurilingual pedagogy that blends French, Arabic, and English. Language learning is structured through the Parcours linguistique, which traces language acquisitions across several languages through a dedicated path, and includes writing and speaking projects as well as inter-language projects. The PEAC pathway connects students with arts and culture by inviting them to meet artists, visit cultural venues, and create and interpret artworks. Students develop cultural understanding and language skills through these coordinated programs.

Social and Hobbies

The after-school program includes activities such as gym gymnastics, swimming, baby gym, dance, theatre, cinema/audiovisual, radio, chess, and Lego construction. These offerings promote teamwork, creativity, and social interaction while blending physical, artistic, and leisure pursuits. Students engage in collaborative projects and performance opportunities that build social skills and a sense of community.

Community and Service

Parcours citoyen invites students to get involved in the school community, teaching citizenship, teamwork, representation, mutual aid, and environmental actions. It emphasizes participation in collective actions for the common good and develops critical thinking through debates, discussion, and information sharing. The aim is to foster a sense of belonging, responsibility, and service to others within the school environment.

Leadership and Professional

Parcours avenir supports students from sixth grade to terminale in making career and study decisions, exposing them to the world of work and to forums, conferences, and debates related to orientation. It helps students understand post‑baccalaureate training paths, study structures, and future opportunities. The LFILM portfolio complements this by tracking experiences and achievements across the six educational pathways, supporting leadership and professional development.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Parcours éducatif de Santé (PES) brings together health protection, hygiene, safety, and responsible behavior; educates students on health and safety rules; prevents addictive behaviors and violence; and raises awareness about health issues for people with illnesses or special needs and about safety measures, including food safety. The school places emphasis on holistic well-being by integrating health education with everyday school life.

The Lycée Français International Louis-Massignon Casablanca (LFILM) is a French-homologated lycée in Casablanca, part of the Mission laïque française OSUI network. It teaches the French national programs with French-certified teachers, complemented by Moroccan Ministry staff and locally recruited colleagues, and it offers a plurilingual curriculum across preschool to terminale. Primary classes are taught in French-Arabic and French-English, while secondary includes international sections delivering a tri-lingual French-Arabic-English baccalaureate; Spanish is studied from grade 5. Language certifications include Cambridge English, CIMA (Arabic), and DELE (Spanish). A Dual Diploma pathway combines the French bac with an online American High School Diploma, and Bachibac is offered as a double diploma. The school runs across three Casablanca sites and hosts a Centre de Connaissances et de Culture, a 9,000-book Bibliothèque Centre Documentaire, a 320-seat auditorium, a 25-metre semi-olympic pool, and a gym. It supports six educational pathways and a digital Student Portfolio to document progress.
