MISA opened in 2004 as a private K–12 international school in Mandalay. The high school enrolls up to 400 students in grades 6–12 (Year 7–13). The campus was purpose-built in 2010 on 58th Street, expanding facilities for the school. MISA graduated its first senior class in 2009. The school is registered with Cambridge Assessment International Education as a Cambridge International School, and it holds membership in the College Board and is recognized by UCAS.
MISA sits on an 11,440-square-meter campus in Mandalay. The student body is culturally diverse, with about 90% Myanmar, 5% Central Asian, 2% Indian and others. MISA hosts community events to engage families, including the MISA International Food & Culture Festival held in March 2025. MISA (Mandalay International School of Acumen) is a private international K–12 school in Mandalay that offers Cambridge International programmes from primary through to A Levels. The campus is located at the Chan Aye Thar Zan corridor in Mandalay, with a high school capacity of up to about 400 students in Years 7–13. The school follows Cambridge Lower Secondary CheckPoint, Cambridge IGCSE, and Cambridge A Level curricula, delivered in English, with English-language support where needed. Facilities include science labs, ICT resources, libraries, art/music spaces, and a football field across primary and high school campuses; a preschool campus is also part of the school.
