Let the school know you're thinking of applying — they can share their prerequisites and help you through the process.
It's best to ask — circumstances can change at any time.
MISY Mandalay was established in August 2018 as the Mandalay campus of Myanmar International School Yangon (MISY). MISY Yangon was originally established in 2009, and MISY Mandalay shares the same founders and vision as its sister school. The Mandalay campus is located at No. 23, 48th Street between Manawhari and Aung Yadanar Roads, Chan Mya Thar Si Township, Mandalay, and runs Early Years through Year 13. MISY Mandalay follows the Cambridge Assessment International Education framework, delivering Cambridge IGCSE and A level examinations as part of its international curriculum. The MISY Board of Directors, founders of both MISY Yangon and MISY Mandalay, oversees strategic development and works with the Head of Schools to ensure high quality teaching and learning.
MISY Mandalay maintains an active school community with a calendar of events that engages families in campus life. The 2025 Open Day showcases the English National Curriculum and MISY Mandalay's programmes. The calendar also includes events such as Myanmar Culture Day and an Art Exhibition, which involve students and families. Regular parent-focused gatherings, including Coffee Mornings with the Primary Head of School, provide opportunities for parents to engage with school leadership.
MISY Mandalay's public pages describe parent engagement through events and governance processes rather than a separate, named PTA. A Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) is listed on the events calendar as a structured channel for parent–teacher dialogue. Regular Coffee Mornings with the Primary Head of School give parents direct access to school leadership. The Board of Directors states that parents' voices are welcomed and that the Board works with the Head of Schools, Senior Leadership Teams, and the community to guide development. Open Day 2025 and Myanmar Culture Day invite parent participation in school life. Participation in events such as the World Scholar's Cup reflects a broader family involvement in MISY Mandalay's community.
