Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school provides social/emotional counselling with a dedicated guidance team supported by partner consultants; group workshops and individual counselling help students explore interests, understand opportunities, and prepare for university applications. From Grade 8, each learner receives an individualized career and university plan tailored to their strengths and goals, including SAT/PSAT preparation. Continuous guidance supports subject selection and Nepalese and overseas university admissions to ensure a smooth transition beyond high school.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The SEN framework is inclusive, recognizing diverse backgrounds and learning needs. Identification and support follow a defined process: initial identification/referral, expert consultation/assessment, an individual education plan, and periodic progress reviews. The school aims to provide equal opportunities and tailored support to learners with greater learning differences, working with families and teachers. The approach is designed to foster inclusion and equity for every learner.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The school supports bilingual development in English and Nepali. When students join with limited proficiency, the Language Support Programme provides targeted, compassionate support to bridge gaps and build confidence. Focused scaffolding and individualized guidance help students transition into grade-level learning and participate fully in mainstream classes.

Mental Wellbeing

Specialized counselling and language/learning supports contribute to student wellbeing. The guidance team offers group workshops and one-to-one sessions to support mental health, resilience, and readiness for learning, while the university guidance program assists students with future planning and transition.

Safeguarding

The campus features secure entry systems and a safe, stimulating environment. The school is earthquake-resistant and conducts regular fire and earthquake drills, safety audits, and ongoing first aid and fire safety training for staff.
