French, German and/or Spanish are offered depending on the curriculum. German as a Second Language (GSL) is provided for English-speaking students. English as a Second Language (ESL) is available for students needing additional English support. French as a Second Language (FSL) is made possible through the Canadian Section.
The school has a Partner Language Programme that teaches English to German-speaking students and German to English-speaking students. The programme has been in place since 1981.
Mini-immersion mornings use the target language in real-life scenarios (e.g., café role plays, market days, travel simulations). Looking ahead, digital pen-pal projects and interactive language-learning platforms are planned to enrich language learning, and language learning through the arts is being developed.
AFNORTH International School is an international day school located on a spacious 10-acre campus in South Limburg. It serves students aged 3 to 18 and offers four curricula: American, Canadian, British, and German, reflecting a diverse, globally minded community. The campus is designed to promote international values and collaborative work, with a central, airy Hub surrounded by four colour‑coded Pods that house specialist spaces for the early years, the arts, technology, sports, and sciences. Modern facilities include spacious classrooms equipped with SMART interactive technology, wireless learning tools, a modernised library, and dedicated science labs and technology spaces. The school benefits from extensive sports facilities, including four refurbished sports halls, floodlit pitches, a four‑lane track, and access to the JFC HQ swimming pool.
