- Exceptional or temporary reductions may be granted in specific cases (example: long illness subject to medical certificate; see refund/adjustment rules below).

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Invoicing periods and standard split:
- 1st term (September–December): 40% of annual tuition.
- 2nd term (January–March): 30% of annual tuition.
- 3rd term (April–June): 30% of annual tuition.
- Invoices are issued to families in September, January and April and payment is due within 15 days of receipt.
- Payment punctuality and consequences:
- Families must pay within 15 days of invoice receipt; late or unpaid invoices lead to reminders, potential refusal of pupil access to class until regularization, and possible transfer of the debt to a collection agency.
- Installment and annual payment options:
- Annual prepayment of the full tuition is possible (subject to the school's stated deadline for that option).
- Under certain conditions, the school can grant a monthly direct‑debit facility (example: nine instalments from 15 October to 15 June) by written request to the school's accounting agent; this requires a signed direct‑debit mandate and advance notification to the family before each debit.

- French bank cheque payable to the Agent comptable du Lycée français Vincent Van Gogh.

- Monthly attendance rule and pro‑rata adjustments:
- Any month in which a pupil attends is billed in full. For prolonged medical absence (longer than fifteen consecutive days and on presentation of a medical certificate), a reduction of tuition may be applied on a pro‑rata basis from the second full week of absence onward; the first 15 days are treated as a non‑coverable period.
- School trips and stays: in the absence of an insurance policy covering cancellation, families remain financially responsible for the trip cost if they withdraw after committing.
- Departure from the school: families must complete the official departure form or send written notification of the exact departure date; in the absence of written notice, tuition charges remain due.

Lycée Français Vincent Van Gogh in The Hague provides a French national education for students aged 3 to 18, leading to the Diplôme National du Brevet and the French Baccalaureate. The school operates under the direct management of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE). Alongside the standard French curriculum, the school features a strong American International Section (SIA), allowing students to prepare for the Baccalauréat Français International (BFI) with specialized instruction in American literature, history, and geography. The academic schedule integrates specific pathways like the "Euro option," where students study history and geography in English. Extracurricular options include theater and visual arts workshops, as well as an annual Sustainable Development Forum run by the students. The school actively partners with the local Alliance Française to host language and cultural activities.
