How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Atlantic Hall provides a nurturing pastoral care framework supporting students' emotional, social, and spiritual well-being through a dedicated pastoral care team. Personal, Social, Health and Civic Education (PSHCE) covers mental and physical health, safe online and offline behaviour, and skills for healthy relationships and careers. The boarding community provides personalized support via houseparents, counsellors, and safeguarding staff, with an emphasis on a safe, supportive environment. The school stresses open communication among students, parents, and staff, with designated boarding lines for contacting the hostel on selected evenings. Student leadership and involvement in governing roles promote independence and responsible citizenship as part of personal development. Guidance and Counselling offers weekly group sessions for each year group addressing self-esteem, peer pressure, study skills, and career planning.

The inclusive music program offers adapted lessons, specialized support, and accessible instruments to facilitate learning and personal growth.
