The first Corona School, Ikoyi Day Nursery, opened in March 1955. Corona School Gbagada opened in 1956 and, after earlier locations in Ebute-Metta and Yaba, relocated to its permanent site in Gbagada in October 1974. Corona School Ikoyi was established in February 1960 and presently has a capacity of 575 pupils. Corona School Victoria Island opened in 1967 and has been led by several headteachers, with the current head of school being Mrs. Olaitan Shogaolu. Corona Schools Trust Council governs eight Corona Schools and concentrates on world-class standards across curriculum, teaching, staff quality, libraries, technology, infrastructure and facilities.
Corporate social responsibility is organized around four pillars: Community, Enrolment, Training, and Infrastructure. The Out-of-School Initiative began in 2019, sponsoring education for indigent children in Lagos, including a full secondary scholarship for Jennifer Williams. In 2024, CSTC partnered with LASUBEB and Lagos Food Bank to visit eight government primary schools in Bariga and donate thousands of cereal and milk. The Ago-Egun programme supports out-of-school children with cohorts, including library upgrades and educational materials.
Corona School Ikoyi has a vibrant Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA supports strong partnerships between home and school. The PTA participates in major milestones, including the Corona Schools' Platinum Anniversary flag-off in December 2024, where the PTA and Alumni Association were represented. The PTA is mentioned alongside the Alumni Association as a key partner in school events. The school communications describe the PTA as a central element of family involvement in Corona School Ikoyi's community.
Corona Schools is a Nigerian network of eight co-educational campuses serving nursery through secondary education, with boarding facilities at Corona Secondary School Agbara. The system spans ages 0 to 18, and the Corona Schools Trust Council governs curriculum, libraries, technology, staff quality and facilities across campuses. The nursery uses Montessori methods; the primary curriculum blends Nigerian and international content aligned to the International Primary Curriculum; the secondary curriculum blends Nigerian and British curricula to prepare students for undergraduate study worldwide. Corona Secondary School Agbara is NEASC-accredited. The organization participates in digital transformation and is a Microsoft Showcase/incubator School, with Microsoft Innovative Experts and Microsoft Certified Experts. ACCA Foundation Level is offered to senior students. Languages include Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, French and German. Co-curriculars cover performing arts, languages and STEAM initiatives such as Go Techy. The network has 668 staff and about 35,000 students, celebrating 70 years, with libraries, technology and infrastructure.
