Deutsche Schule Abuja is a private German international school operated by Julius Berger Nigeria PLC in Abuja. It serves kindergarten and primary education at Utako and Life Camp Gwarinpa. Instruction is in German, with the German stream following the competency-based Thüringer curriculum and the English stream based on the British National Curriculum for Reception and Grades 1–6. The kindergarten runs two language streams with German-speaking and English-speaking staff. In the primary years, teaching is partly cross-curricular; English or German is the first foreign language from Grade 1. Hours run 07:45–12:45 for classes, with after-school care from 13:45–16:00 and a midday meal after period six. Facilities include a music room, art and crafts room, science room, library, swimming pool, tennis courts, and a football field.
