Academic and Intellectual

Emerald School blends British and Nigerian curricula. Pre-school follows the Montessori approach, building literacy, numeracy, science, sensorial development and social skills while fostering curiosity and critical thinking. Elementary education includes Numeracy, Literacy, Bible Knowledge, French and Yoruba, Social Studies, Science, Music, Arts and Crafts, Computer Appreciation, Geography, History, Vocational Aptitude, Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning, Poetry, Handwriting and Library Studies, Reading and Creative Writing, with a focus on research, collaboration and communication. Secondary education uses Nigerian and British curricula to prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint, BECE and NECO, with Year 8 French exchange and Year 10 pathways toward IGCSE, WAEC and NECO, and SAT/TOEFL and JAMB provisions; extracurriculars include Music, Sports, Literary and Debating, ICT, Spelling Bee and Quiz Competitions.

Arts and Creative

Arts education includes Music, Arts and Crafts, and Creative Writing. Rhymes and Phonics support early language development. The school fosters creative expression through Poetry and Visual Arts, and students participate in related activities across grade levels.

Cultural and Language

French is taught as part of the core curriculum, and Yoruba is offered. In Year 8, students participate in a French exchange program to deepen language skills and cultural understanding.

Social and Hobbies

Extracurricular activities include Music, Sports, Literary and Debating, ICT, Spelling Bee and Quiz Competitions. These activities support personal development, teamwork and communication skills.
