The Grange School curriculum is academically challenging and engaging. Key Stages 3 and 4 have distinct curricula, supplemented by a wide range of co-curricular programmes and a structured pastoral care system. Students listen attentively in class, collaborate with peers, and develop study skills, with confidence in using technology alongside books. Key Stage 3 focuses on scientific enquiry, creativity, problem solving, teamwork, collaborative learning, and critical thinking. Fifteen subjects are taught in Year 7 by specialist teachers: English Language, Drama, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), History, Geography, French, Spanish, Art and Design, Physical Education (PE), Nigerian Studies, and Music, leading to IGCSE qualifications. Enriching opportunities include local excursions for Years 7–10, an integration weekend for Year 7, and a language immersion trip to Spain for Year 8. Key Stage 4 (Years 10–11) comprises a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10 subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, at least one Modern Foreign Language, at least one Science, at least one Humanities subject, and at least one Vocational subject as compulsory subjects; additional electives complete the ten. The Year 10–11 programme culminates in the IGCSE examination over two years.
The Grange School has a Pastoral & Well-Being program that supports students' social and emotional development. Grange School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding is integrated into pastoral care and activities are designed with age-appropriate considerations, under the guidance of the pastoral team. 1. Age eligibility and entry timing. The Grange School Lagos is open to children from age 2 years 6 months through 16 years. Applications can be accepted at different times, with new students usually starting on Mondays; late applications are considered on an individual basis before the Lent term mid-term break. The school runs a bus service for transport to both the Island and the mainland.
2. Online application and fees. An online application is used for admissions. There is a non-refundable application fee of 20,000 naira. Applications can be submitted for entry at various times, and new entrants typically commence on Mondays.
3. Language of instruction and support. All classes are taught in English (except language classes). Non-native speakers are welcomed, with English as an Additional Language (EAL) support and an Intensive English program available.
