Greensprings School runs Community Connect, a wellness initiative to tackle stress and burnout within the Greensprings community. The program provides exercise, dance-aerobics, sports, board games and hands-on vocational activities, with wellness checks conducted by Total Health Trust. The maiden edition was held at the Lekki campus on 28 September 2019, and the school plans to make it a monthly event across campuses. A Head of School leads student mental health support, and safeguarding is reinforced through staff training and safeguarding practices. The overall focus is on student well-being as part of the school's care approach.
Anthos House, Greensprings' fast-growing special needs school, is located in Jakande, Lekki Phase II, and accommodates students aged 10 to 17+ with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD and other learning difficulties. Anthos House operates as a Greensprings subsidiary and focuses on independence, life skills and pathways toward work and daily living. Greensprings also runs Learning Support Units (LSU) at all campuses to provide SEN services, including Individual Educational Plans (IEPs), Plan 504 accommodations, educational therapy, speech therapy, one-on-one or small-group tutoring, and social integration into mainstream classrooms.
Greensprings supports mental wellbeing through Community Connect and dedicated counselling resources. The Community Connect program promotes wellness via dance-aerobics, exercise, sports, board games and other activities, with a wellness check by the medical team. A Head of Counselling (Miss Nkennor) leads student mental health initiatives, and safeguarding is reinforced through ongoing staff training and child-protection practices.
Safeguarding is a core priority at Greensprings. Staff undergo child protection training, and safeguarding is described as 'our business' by the Head of Counselling, emphasizing the ability to recognize signs of abuse and neglect and to safeguard children both on and off campus. Training covers identifying various forms of abuse and ensuring proactive safeguarding responsibility for all employees.
