Halifield Schools was established in 1996 as a private institution to provide early childhood education. The school is administered by a Governing Board of professional Nigerians with a passion for education, which makes major decisions and assists the Director who oversees the day-to-day running of the schools. A Head of Schools, Head Teacher, Elementary and Principal for College are in charge of daily operations. Halifield has facilities and technology to facilitate the latest educational trends and ideas, both for the high-achieving student and for those with academic gaps. At the end of Halifield tutelage, children are prepared for life and, disciplined and capable, ready to face challenges with confidence.
Halifield runs a camp program with seminars, drills and tours, helping students develop leadership and civic responsibility. The school participates in community service initiatives, including a Soup Kitchen and the Adopt-A-School program initiated by the Lagos State Government, to mentor neighboring public schools, donate furniture, organize fundraisers, and support school development as part of its CSR. The Earth Troopers Club engages students in environmental awareness and outreach to assist the less privileged and promote community service.
The school maintains a Parent-Teacher Forum (PTF) with regular meetings to facilitate collaboration between parents and teachers. A PTF Meeting was held on June 29, 2024 at Halifield Schools, Maryland.
Halifield Schools is a private Nigerian institution serving ages 2 to 16 with campuses in Maryland and Lekki. The curriculum blends Nigerian and British standards, delivering WASSCE and IGCSE syllabi and preparing students for BECE, CHECKPOINT, and IGCSE. Edmodo connects teachers and learners beyond the classroom. Co-curriculars include music, craft, robotics, graphics, photography, weaving, cooking and chess. Founded in 1996, Halifield is governed by a board of professionals; daily operations are led by a Director, with a Head of Schools and Principals managing campuses. Facilities span science laboratories, a Basic Technology Workshop, ICT and Language Labs, Math Lab, libraries, a Music Room, an Art Studio, a sports field and pavilion, dining hall, sick bay, boarding facilities, a Book Store, a Tuck Shop and wireless Internet. The school maintains international partnerships with foreign scholarships and has notable chess and arts achievements, plus community service through Halicares. Students gain international exposure through partner schools.
