LPSS serves learners from 18 months through 16 years+ at 36/40 Glover Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. In Primary, Key Stages 1 and 2, the English National Curriculum is followed. Children continue learning French from Early Years alongside specialist subjects such as Music, Art, PE, Swimming and Home Economics. In Secondary, the curriculum follows the British National Curriculum and the Cambridge Curriculum. The school day runs from 8:00 am to 2:40 pm, with after-school clubs available until 3:45 pm and a wide range of after-school clubs for all ages.
All Science and Technology lessons follow the English National Curriculum; KS1 and KS2 cover Biology, Chemistry and Physics with topics such as living things and habitats, materials, electricity, forces, light and sound. In KS3, LPSS prepares students for all IGCSE routes using the Active book scheme, aligning with the English National Curriculum. For KS4, Science follows the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum with options to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics as separate subjects. The Information & Communication Technology curriculum covers computer science with Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science from Year 10, and CISCO networking is introduced from September 2019. Assessments occur throughout the year to track progress and determine overall grades.
There are after-school clubs running from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm on school days, offering a wide range of activities from Sports to Arts, Culture, Languages, Subject-based clubs, Music and more. Examples include Fencing, Music, Football, Drama, Art & Crafts, Basketball, Swimming, Ballet, Dance, Computer Coding, Karate, Taekwondo, Robotics, Roller Skating, STEAM, Tennis, Scout, Creative Writing, Cheerleading, Chess, Knitting & Crochet, Multimedia, Cookery, Brick for Kids and many others. Club facilitators include school staff and external professionals who undergo extensive verification. A Club Fair is held on the first afternoon of every term to provide additional information to parents.
Lagos Preparatory & Secondary School (LPSS) welcomes families seeking a UK‑inspired path from nursery to secondary.
