Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The Guidance & Counselling Unit focuses on the total development of every student through programmes designed to find the highest value for learning and career development. There are three trained professional counsellors, and a hostel counsellor monitors students academically and attends to emotional needs. The unit provides individual and group counselling and organises seminars and workshops; leadership trainings are included, and staff support underpins learner development. Mentoring, career guidance, and opportunities for actual work experience are part of the learner-support framework. The approach emphasises boosting self-esteem and overcoming learning barriers to support academic progress.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Learner support identifies and develops each student's academic potential through a range of programmes. Better Handwriting helps students with below-average handwriting develop better writing skills. Remedial lessons are organized for students at no cost to parents. The Guidance & Counselling Unit offers individual and group counselling, mentoring, leadership training, and work experience to support learning and personal development.

Mental Wellbeing

Counselling focuses on the total development of every student to boost achievement and help students overcome personal, social, and emotional challenges. There are three trained professional counsellors, plus a hostel counsellor who attends to emotional needs. Guidance and Counselling services include individual and group counselling, career guidance, seminars and workshops, and leadership training.

Safeguarding

Drugs and medicaments brought to the school are handed over to the school's medical personnel with the family doctor's instructions. There is monitoring and supervision regarding the use of computers and television in the hostels. The boarding program provides staff oversight to support student safety and wellbeing, and medical personnel are available on site.
