Lead British International School offers British and Nigerian education for students aged 0 to 16, with day and boarding options from Year 4. The school delivers a British Curriculum framework supplemented by IPC Cambridge pathways, including IGCSE at secondary and a Pre-U Foundation Year for access to universities. In Early Years, the curriculum combines the British Early Years Foundation Stage with Nigerian content across six areas of learning. Primary follows the English National Curriculum adapted to local circumstances for a British-Nigerian integrated education. The Secondary section serves learners aged 10 to 17 with facilities to support science and ICT, preparing for BECE, IGCSE, WAEC, NECO and SAT (optional). LBIS operates Abuja, Ibadan and Osogbo campuses across Nigeria. Facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, a well-resourced library, modern science laboratories, an ICT suite, a music/recording studio, a Visual Art Studio, boarding for boys and girls, a multipurpose hall, sports pitches and ample grounds.

Subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, History, Geography, ICT, French, a Nigerian Language (Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo), CRS or IRS, Personal, Social and Health Education, Art and Music. The Secondary Section serves students aged 10-17 in a modern learning environment designed to support transition into Nigerian or foreign higher education, with ICT, science and other facilities. The Pre-U International Foundation Year prepares entry to more than 50 universities worldwide; it includes A-Levels for entry to world-class universities such as Cambridge and Harvard, and a Nigerian university foundation programme as an alternative. Lead British International School offers day and boarding for students from Year 4 and above and has facilities to support extensive learning.
LBIS reports WAEC and NECO SSCE results with year-on-year improvements. In 2019, 91.1% of WAEC subjects were graded A-C and 86% of NECO SSCE were A-C. 1. Submit the application for the appropriate year group and pay the 10,000 Naira application fee. Application forms cost 10,000 Naira and can be purchased from the Front Desk or downloaded from LBIS admissions materials. The age requirement for entry must be met by 31 August in the entry year for the relevant year group (Crèche 0-1, Topaz 1-2, Emerald 2-3, Diamond 3-4, Gold 4-5). The child will be considered for the corresponding entrance assessment after submission.
2. Early Years Entrance Assessment: All Early Years applicants must come to school for a day-long assessment on-site. Candidates should bring lunch and snacks for the day. The assessment is for entry to Early Years, covering age groups 0-5 (Crèche to Gold). Successful completion leads to the next stage of the admissions process.
3. Primary Admission Procedure: Applications require a 10,000 Naira fee and the child must meet the age requirements for the intended Year Group. The Primary Entrance Assessment lasts 3 hours and tests English and Mathematics according to the class being sought. Entrance exams are scheduled in Abuja in March, April, and May, with additional testing sessions offered if space allows. The School reserves the right not to admit a child even if they pass the entrance exams.
