History

Marymount School, Lekki was conceived in 2007 as a Montessori based preschool and nursery in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. It was founded by Mrs. Olajumoke Dare in partnership with her sister, Dr. Adeola Owodunni. The school later expanded to offer nursery and primary education, incorporating both British and Nigerian curricula. In 2012, an Indian Curriculum Section was introduced in collaboration with Mrs. Kavita Chellaram to serve the expatriate Indian community in Lagos. After seven years as a preschool and nursery, the school began admitting primary pupils in September 2014.
