Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

1. Make contact with Admissions by phone or using the contact form. A member of Admissions responds to inquiries and explains the available steps in the process. You discuss your child's details and needs and arrange a visit to the school. This initial contact starts the admissions process.

2. Discuss your child's details and needs and arrange a visit to the school. Admissions gathers information to help tailor the visit to your child. You arrange a convenient date to visit Priory Prep and learn more about the program. This step helps staff address your questions and begin planning entry.

3. Come for a tour, at your convenience – visit the classrooms and hear about what we have to offer. You will see how lessons are delivered and how pupils engage with learning. You can meet staff and observe the school environment. The tour provides an opportunity to assess fit for your child.

4. Arrange an assessment day for your child – to allow teachers to better understand their capabilities and potential. The assessment day involves observations and activities designed to reveal strengths and areas for development. Staff use the results to inform discussions about progress and possible entry points. You will receive feedback and next steps after the assessment.

5. Discuss the assessments and your impressions with the Headteacher. The Headteacher reviews assessment outcomes with you and answers any questions. You will discuss how Priory Prep can support your child's learning and development. This conversation helps determine the most appropriate entry timing.

6. Accept your offer of a place, by paying the registration fees and deposit. The school confirms a place once the fees and deposit are received. You will be guided on payment methods and deadlines. Upon completion, your child is ready to join Priory Prep.

7. Welcome to the Priory family. You and your child become part of the Priory community and receive information about starting arrangements. The school supports families during transition and aims to ensure a smooth start.
