There are two Regent Schools in Abuja: The Regent Primary School and The Regent Secondary School. The Regent Primary School was founded in 2000 to provide a British-style education to Nigerian children and to the children of expatriates living in Abuja. It has developed into a friendly, thriving day school offering a broad and balanced education for boys and girls aged 2–11. In 2007, a separate Secondary School was opened; Year 6 was retained at the Primary to become Year 7 and an additional Year 8 was started, and The Regent Secondary School moved to a new purpose-built campus in September 2009. The Regent Secondary School offers an adapted version of the National Curriculum for England and Wales in Year 7 and 8, Cambridge Checkpoint in Year 9, and Cambridge IGCSE in Years 10 and 11, and is a boarding school with a day-student option.
The Regent community is made up of students from 37 nationalities.
