Introduction

GIS is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for Grades 1–6 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 7–10. Located at Studieveien 17 on Gjovik University Campus, the school benefits from campus resources and proximity to NTNU. GIS opened in August 2015 and has grown to about 183 students for the 2024/25 year, with waiting lists in several grades. The IB framework shapes a transdisciplinary curriculum, including Norwegian language classes and English as the language of instruction; German has been taught since 2016. Graduates can continue IB education through the Diploma Programme at IB schools worldwide, including Gjøvik and Elverum High Schools. Facilities include a two-section library with PYP and MYP spaces, a Campus Arena for indoor PE, and a football pitch for outdoor lessons. After-school activities run in cycles; the Student Council coordinates service projects such as World Food Day and The Giving Tree.

Fees

Annual tuition at Gjovikregionen International School ranges from NOK 32,450 to NOK 34,650 for 2026/27.

Tuition fees (by year group)
