Located in Sandsli, The International School of Bergen (ISB) is a private, coeducational day school for ages 1 to 16 offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). The Early Childhood Centre teaches in English and blends the Norwegian Framework Plan for Kindergartens with the IB PYP. Lower School follows the PYP, while Upper School delivers the MYP. Founded in 1975 as the American School, ISB now serves a diverse community and operates from a modernised campus (renovated in 2019) that includes a welcoming library, art rooms, a science laboratory and dedicated visual arts spaces. On-site gym facilities are complemented by neighborhood swimming pool and ice rink, with Bergen's countryside used as an extended classroom.
