Fees
Application fees
- There is no application fee for admission to Kristiansand Katedralskole Gimle. Applications to public upper-secondary programmes (including the IB Diploma Programme) are submitted through the regional admissions system (Vigo) and there is no charge for applying.

Tuition fees by year group (per term and per year)
- There are no tuition fees for day students at Kristiansand Katedralskole Gimle for any year group (Vg1, Vg2, Vg3) for the 2026/27 academic year. Instruction at the school's public upper‑secondary programmes is provided without tuition charges. Consequently there is no per‑term or per‑year tuition invoice for standard study places.

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Regular tuition billing does not apply because the school does not charge tuition.
- Any optional, one‑off or third‑party charges (for example paid excursions, voluntary course activities, rental or replacement of school equipment, or external exam fees) are invoiced separately. Invoices connected to the school are issued through Agder fylkeskommune; invoice details including due date and payment terms appear on each invoice. Supplier invoices to Agder must be sent electronically in EHF format; Agder's invoicing procedures and addresses are used for processing school‑related invoices. Credit notes and refunds for invoiced items are handled through the county's invoicing procedures and must reference the invoice being credited.

Boarding fees (if applicable)
- Boarding is not applicable. Kristiansand Katedralskole Gimle is a day school and does not operate boarding facilities. There are possible public support schemes for students who must live away from home to attend (bostøtte/borteboerstipend) but the school itself does not charge boarding fees.

Other costs or fees (uniforms, textbooks, materials, trips, exam fees, etc.)
- Textbooks and core instruction have no tuition charge, but students may incur out‑of‑pocket costs for personal consumables, optional course materials, specialised equipment, external project costs, sports kit, field trips, or voluntary activities. Students in programmes with higher equipment needs may be eligible for equipment support from Lånekassen; equipment and living‑away stipends exist for eligible students.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma students should expect IB‑related registration and examination charges to be applied separately from school tuition where applicable; these external assessment fees are charged by the IB and may be invoiced to the student or family. The IB Diploma Programme is delivered as a day‑programme at Kristiansand Katedralskole Gimle.
- Uniforms are not standard for this public school; any required clothing or kit for specific programmes or activities (for example sports teams) is charged separately if required.

Refund information (if applicable to the school)
- Because there is no regular tuition, standard tuition‑refund rules do not apply. For any optional items or invoiced services, refunds or credits are processed in accordance with Agder fylkeskommune's invoicing and accounting rules (credit notes must reference the original invoice). Specific refund or cancellation rules for charged activities (for example voluntary trips or third‑party services) are set per activity and will be stated on the relevant invoice or activity agreement.

Fee payment options
- Invoices connected with the school are administered through Agder fylkeskommune; payment instructions and accepted methods are shown on each invoice. The county uses electronic invoicing systems (EHF) for supplier invoices; invoices to families for optional items are normally issued with clear payment instructions and may be paid by the methods listed on the invoice (bank transfer / e‑invoice arrangements or other methods indicated on the invoice). For supplier invoicing the county requires EHF electronic invoice format and provides the county invoice address and organization number for payments.

Summary (key points for parents)
- No application fee.
- No tuition fees for Vg1–Vg3 (no per‑term or per‑year tuition charges) for day students in 2026/27.
- The school is a day school; there are no boarding fees.
- Optional items (equipment, trips, IB examination/registration fees, programme‑specific costs) may be charged separately and will be invoiced with specified due dates and payment terms by Agder fylkeskommune.

If an exact invoice, fee amount or payment instruction appears for a particular optional activity or external exam, that amount and its payment terms will be stated on the corresponding invoice or activity notification.
