Admissions

Admissions

1. Book an appointment with the Registration team for a school tour. This provides an opportunity to view the campus and learn about AGS Salalah's programs. The Registration team can answer initial questions and outline the admissions process. A campus tour is the first step in applying to AGS Salalah.

2. If you wish to proceed with the application, the Registration team provides the admissions documents for completion. They guide applicants through filling the forms and collecting the required information. The documents are prepared for submission to move the process forward. AGS Salalah offers the Cambridge International Curriculum, delivered in English.

3. Return the completed documents to the registrar, either in person at the registration office or by email to registrar@agssalalah.edu.om. Timely submission helps secure a place in consideration. The registrar acknowledges receipt and reviews the materials.

4. The documents checklist includes a copy of the birth certificate, a copy of the pupil's passport, a copy of the immunization record, a copy of the parent's resident card (expatriate only), a copy of the parent's passport, copies of the parent's and pupil's visas (expatriate only), a copy of the parent's ID (for Omani nationals only), four color photographs, previous school reports, and an equivalent certificate or transfer certificate. The age eligibility chart lists the minimum and maximum ages for each grade as of 1 September 2020. The chart is provided to guide placement.

5. Pupil observations, assessments and interviews will be conducted if needed to determine placement. These evaluations help determine the appropriate grade level and course plan. The scheduling will be arranged by the registrar. A placement decision will follow the assessment.

6. The Principal has the final decision on whether a child will be offered a place at the school. This decision determines whether an offer will be issued. The registrar communicates the outcome to the parents. Offers may depend on document completion and assessment results.

7. If successful, a formal acceptance letter will be sent to parents by the registrar for final signature. The acceptance must be returned within 7 working days of the offer. If the signed acceptance is not received within the allotted time, the school cannot guarantee the place. The registrar will follow up as needed.

8. The Registration team will verify all documents and provide a 7-day period to supply any missing documents. Verification covers all submitted materials. Missing items will be requested within the 7-day window. Completion of verification allows enrollment to proceed.
