MySchool Oman was founded in 2012. From the start, the school used the Nelson Canadian Curriculum before adopting the Oxford Discover Curriculum to support its vision for 21st-century thinking. The school pursued International Baccalaureate (IB) accreditation and now offers the full IB continuum for students aged 2 to 18. It is led by Principal Ms. Samia Bint Moosa Al Belushi. IB authorizations were formalized in 2024, confirming its status as an IB World School.
The MySchool Oman community is multinational, with representation from more than 40 nations and about 1,500 students. The school emphasizes the arts, technology, sports, and music, with regular exhibitions and performances that involve students and the wider school community. Sports feature inter-house and inter-school competitions that foster school spirit, teamwork, and resilience. A variety of campus events and activities are held throughout the year, including exhibitions and events such as Space Day.
MySchool Oman maintains an active parent engagement program with regular parent-teacher meetings and informational sessions. Evidence of parent–teacher collaboration includes events such as the first Parent/Teacher Meeting on 11 October 2021, as well as MYP Parents Informative Meetings and PYP Meetings. Parents participate in induction sessions for MYP 4/5 and in workshops related to PYP and MYP learning. The school's social stream also documents parent involvement in community projects and events such as Open Day coverage. Regular parent-focused communications and events illustrate ongoing parent engagement.
