Pakistan School Nizwa was established in 1994 through the diligent efforts of the Pakistani community and the Board of Governors under the patronage of the Embassy of Pakistan. It began by providing education to more than twelve expatriate communities residing in the Sultanate of Oman. The school aimed to provide education of international standards at affordable costs and to foster an atmosphere conducive to activity-based learning. The embassy's patronage reflected a formal commitment to the school's welfare and progress.
Pakistan School Nizwa operates within the Pakistan Schools Oman network, with active involvement from students, parents, alumni, and staff across branches. In 2025, the network marked its Golden Jubilee with a large gathering that included community members, alumni, parents, teachers, and students, and announced facility upgrades under the Nizwa and Buraimi Development Initiative. Community outreach remains a priority, with collaborations planned with universities and colleges to expand higher education opportunities for students.
The PTA-equivalent for Pakistan School Nizwa is the Parent Council, established to act as ambassadors for the school and to strengthen partnerships between families and the institution. In the Pakistan Schools Oman network, the Board of Directors is elected by the parents, ensuring active parent involvement in governance. The Parent Council supports family engagement and helps foster closer collaboration between parents and school leadership. The Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2025 highlighted broad parental and community participation in the school's milestones. Ongoing development projects in Nizwa and Buraimi and collaborations with universities illustrate the council's role in guiding community and educational advancement.
