Introduction

Andino Cusco International School is an IB World School in Cusco, Peru, offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3 to 12 and the Diploma Programme (DP) at the end of secondary. From Inicial, students benefit from English immersion, and in the Primary level a Dual Bilingual Program teaches content in English while Cambridge exam preparation is integrated into regular classes. In the Secondary, English proficiency is aligned with the CEFR within standard classes to support study at international institutions. The school has been an IB World School since 2014, the first private IB school in Cusco and the region. 5,000 m² campus in Cachimayo combines natural landscapes with modern facilities: bright classrooms with Wi‑Fi, a well‑equipped science laboratory, two plastic arts rooms, a Center of Resources library, an amphitheater, gardens, and dedicated study and reading spaces. Tuition / Monthly pension (Pensión mensual) — billing by month and annual totals
- Billing structure: Ten (10) monthly pension payments are charged per year, covering March through December. The school bills by monthly pension rather than by term.
- 2026 pension amounts (monthly) and equivalent for the 10‑payment year:
- Inicial: S/ 1,250.00 per month — Annual total (10 payments): S/ 12,500.00.
- Primaria: S/ 1,300.00 per month — Annual total (10 payments): S/ 13,000.00.
- Secundaria: S/ 1,320.00 per month — Annual total (10 payments): S/ 13,200.00.
- What the monthly pension includes: basic classroom study materials, access to virtual learning platforms with complementary material, regular classes and workshops within school hours, and school accident insurance. Additional materials for special projects or home use remain the family's responsibility.

Entrance fee (Cuota de ingreso) — one‑time entrance payment by grade
- The entrance fee may be paid in full or in partial installments; an initial installment is normally due in the first week of December of the preceding year (2026 guidance notes an initial installment of US$ 210) and the first installment after offer must be paid within the period indicated when a vacancy is granted (maximum 5 days).

Billing schedule and payment terms
- Payment timing:
- Matrícula: annual payment; deadline early January (for 2026). La matrícula no es reembolsable.
- Pensiones: ten monthly payments due March–December. The pension must be paid up to the first business day of the following month (or voluntarily during the month when the service is provided); December pension is paid in the first half of December.
- Late payment: a daily late interest (mora) is applied at a rate of 0.012% per day on overdue pension payments.

Payment methods and channels
- Application fee (Derecho de postulación): payments are accepted at Caja Municipal Cusco, via the Interbank app, and by transfer from other banks (activation required by request).
- Entrance fee, matrícula and monthly pensions: can be paid at Caja Municipal Cusco and its agents, or via Pago Efectivo (a payments gateway that connects with major Peruvian banks including BCP, Interbank, BBVA, Scotiabank, among others).

Optional services and additional costs
- Transport: A school transport service is available on optional routes; transport is charged separately to families and a selection of routes is offered. Specific route fees and enrollment conditions are provided directly by the transport service.
- Uniforms: Uniform use is mandatory from Initial through the first year of the Diploma; uniforms are unisex and sold through designated suppliers (prices vary by provider). Families arrange purchases with the listed suppliers.
- School food / kiosco: An on‑site healthy kiosk provides paid food options; the kiosk supplier bills families directly for purchases.

Academics

Andino Cusco International School teaches IB (PYP), IB (DP) for students aged 3 to 18.

Curriculum

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) and Primary Years Programme (PEP) are offered. Since 2014, the school has been a World School of the International Baccalaureate, the first private IB school in Cusco and the region to achieve this recognition. The DP is offered at the end of secondary, and the PEP serves students aged 3 to 12 in Inicial and Primary levels. From Inicial there is English immersion; the Primary uses a Dual Bilingual Program to teach content in English while preparing for Cambridge exams, and the Secondary reinforces English proficiency aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) within regular class hours to support studies at international institutions. Education centers on inquiry-based learning and the IB Learner Profile attributes, including Inquiry, Integrity, Communication, Solidarity, Audacity, Knowledge, Reasoning, Open-Mindedness, Balance and Reflection.

Higher Education Progression

Graduates pursue university studies at institutions around the world. Since 2016, IB Diploma cohorts have consistently performed well on IB evaluations and prepared for studies at universities worldwide.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

IB World Schools at Andino Cusco International School support strong academic, social, and emotional development. Learning is guided by inquiry, empowering students to answer their own questions while developing skills, attitudes and conceptual understanding. English as an Additional Language (EAL)

From Early Years, a true bilingual program provides immersion in English and a bilingual curriculum. In primary, the Dual Bilingual Program teaches content in English while preparing students for Cambridge exams within regular classes. In secondary, English language skills—productive and receptive—are consolidated and aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) within regular class hours. This structure enables students to continue studies at international institutions.

Mental Wellbeing

The Convivencia Escolar department is a multidisciplinary team of psychology and education professionals dedicated to student wellbeing and conflict mediation to prevent violence. They provide timely attention in cases of school violence and promote healthy convivencia. IB attributes such as solidarity, reflection, communication, integrity and balance contribute to a climate that supports physical and mental wellbeing. Preventive practices include developing social skills during tutor sessions, such as empathy, effective communication, conflict resolution, and active listening.

Safeguarding

A multidisciplinary team of psychology and education professionals ensures safeguarding and promotes safe convivencia escolar. The team aims to promote healthy convivencia, prevent violence, and provide timely attention in cases of school violence. Transfers 2026: Applications (Initial) and transfers (Primary and Secondary) are accepted only for classrooms with available vacancies. Documentation reception and the corresponding evaluations are scheduled at any time, depending on the requests received and in order of arrival.

Postulación 2027: Applications for all levels (Initial, Primary and Secondary) for the 2027 school year begin in June 2026, subject to vacancy availability in the corresponding classrooms. Last day to submit application documents: June 12, 2026. Evaluations: Second half of June 2026. New application dates will be scheduled throughout the year, depending on vacancy availability.

Scholarships
