The school is promoted by COFAM, Center for Family Guidance, a nonprofit civil association legally established since 1973, which acts as the promoting entity, the legal guardian, and the one responsible for maintaining its axiological line. The school began operating in 1987 and currently serves primary and secondary levels. Colégio Alpamayo is a male-only Catholic school in Lima, Peru, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) for grades 10 and 11, with a bilingual option including at least two English-taught Higher Level subjects such as History.
