Extracurricular activities include debate and Model United Nations; Alpamayo has participated in MMUN Hangzhou and other debater events. The Argumentes national school debate tournament is hosted, bringing together multiple institutions. The school also hosts concerts and performances that involve student musicians and dancers.
Leadership development is fostered through school competitions such as Copa Cumbre, launched in 2005 to promote broad participation and values like solidarity, integration, teamwork, and identification with the school. Over the years Alpamayo has pursued and achieved international tournament experiences and recognitions in sports, supporting students to grow as responsible leaders. The emphasis on teamwork, competition, and public representation is evident in the school's athletic and interschool activities.
Education Física - Deportes emphasizes that all students participate in sport because the aim is educational rather than purely competitive. The program builds character, leadership, and teamwork while promoting health and well-being. Extracurricular sports academies run after school from 3:45 to 5:00 pm in swimming, football, basketball, athletics, chess, and ping pong, with ongoing participation in national and international tournaments.
Colégio Alpamayo is a male-only Catholic school in Lima, Peru, offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) for grades 10 and 11, with a bilingual option including at least two English-taught Higher Level subjects such as History.
