Extracurricular activities have been chosen so that students can develop holistically and complement their education. Robotics awakens critical thinking and fosters creativity, self-confidence and teamwork, while integrating disciplines such as mechanics, computer science, physics, and mathematics. Taller de Tareas reinforces German, mathematics, and communications.
Ballet tones the muscles, promotes good posture, and develops balance and coordination, while also developing hearing and memory. The violin sharpens memory, fosters perseverance and tolerance, and develops cognitive abilities. Theater increases empathy, strengthens memory, and fuels creativity and teamwork. Classical guitar enhances brain activity, boosts creativity and concentration, and increases self-confidence while reducing stress.
Spielgruppe is for Kita 4 and 5 years old and reinforces German language learning in a playful, recreational way. Folklore refers to Peru's dances and cultural heritage, developing coordination, motor skills, expression, and socialization. Intercambios Internacionales provide experiences in Ursuline schools in Germany and the United States to strengthen German and English and broaden cultural and personal horizons.
Volleyball, basketball, athletics, soccer, and gymnastics are offered as extracurricular activities. They promote teamwork, socialization, discipline, and physical development. Athletics and gymnastics improve breathing, strength, balance, and self-confidence.
Miramar was started in 1951 as Ursuline social outreach to Miramar in San Miguel, and remains a principal act of service. Students, with Ursuline mothers and the pastoral team, participate in the KILO campaign to donate essentials and may visit Miramar at Christmas to see the impact of their gifts. Pachacútec, in Ventanilla, is a Ursuline mission with pastoral care and Catholic catechesis, and hosts the Santa Ursula Comedor Popular to feed families. SU Grün is an ecological project addressing climate change by reducing plastics and promoting sustainable living.
