The MIC is governed through the Asociación de Padres de Familia (APF), a private nonprofit organization with its own statutes. The APF conducts a General Assembly and an Executive Committee (Comité Ejecutivo) consisting of a President, a Vice President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and an Enlace del Concejo Consultivo de Padres. The MIC administration provides facilities to the APF, and its resources come from dues and activities, to be used for school improvements and coordinated with MIC for planning and implementation.
Montessori International College in Peru offers an integrated Montessori-inspired approach alongside the International Baccalaureate framework. Notable programs include COPA MIC tournaments, MIC music ensembles, MUN debates, and international trips, underscoring a culturally rich, globally minded community for families.
