Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

Step 1. Pre‑registration and transfer availability. Pre‑registration is conducted online only, through admision.pestalozzi.edu.pe, and closes automatically once the pool of applicant families is full. This step is required to participate in the admissions process; without it, participation is not possible. For 2025, admission for transfers is subject to available vacancies until October 15.

Step 2. Final admissions dossier submission. After successful pre‑registration, an email confirms the deadline for submitting the final admission dossier. The final dossier is delivered to the school's Secretariat on the assigned date and includes: a signed Admission Application by both parents or guardians; a copy of the applicant's birth certificate; a copy of the applicant's DNI or passport; for Swiss applicants, a copy of the passport or embassy document; if there is a second nationality, a copy of the passport or second nationality document; two passport‑size photos of the applicant; a standard family photo (optional); a Parent Questionnaire; copies of the parents' documents; the current Labor Certificate for each parent; a certificate of no debt from the previous school; the SIAGIE Enrollment Form signed by the previous school; the SIAGIE Enrollment Certificate signed by the previous school; a copy of the applicant's last report card or achievement record; a certificate of studies from the last year; for international transfers, certificates must be presented to the Peruvian Ministry of Education for proper revalidation or convalidation; once the Director's Resolution is obtained, it is sent to Pestalozzi; from 5th grade German A1 is required; for secondary, German A2 and PET English are required.

Step 3. Information meeting and guided visit. After submission of the requested documents, an information meeting and guided tour are scheduled on dates determined by the school during November 2025.

Step 4. Evaluation. The school evaluates applicants in German, communication, mathematics, and English starting in second grade of primary. In 2nd–4th grade, if a student has no basic knowledge of German or Spanish, one of these two areas is not tested; parents sign a commitment to bring their child to the required level during the first year.

Step 5. Interviews. Following the evaluations, parents attend an interview with the grade coordinator and a representative of the Psychopedagogical Department; if the interview is approved, a second interview with the Swiss Director is scheduled.

Step 6. Results and admission. Admitted families are informed by phone and email; once the admission fee is paid within the deadline and all administrative steps are completed, a welcome email confirming the vacancy is issued. Information on the admission fee is found in the Reglamento de Admisión.

Step 7. Priority, alignment, and diversity. Swiss applicants, applicants with siblings already attending Pestalozzi, children of school staff, and children of alumni have priority in that order. The alignment of the parents with the school's vision, mission, and values is considered. Admission decisions also take into account maintaining a class that promotes cultural diversity.

Step 8. Special Educational Needs. In the framework of an inclusive and intercultural approach, Pestalozzi complies with RM 447-2020 MINEDU. Priority for admission of students with Special Educational Needs requires a written medical report and participation in all admission stages. The school does not attend to severe cases of Special Educational Needs, physical or emotional, due to lacking tools.

Step 9. Fees information. Information about 2025 tuition, enrollment fees, and payments is published in a schedule, which lists due dates and amounts by level. There is no discount for paying the full year in advance, and no changes to the fees during the year.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

The school offers scholarships and partial scholarships from pre‑kindergarten onward, based on an evaluation of the family's circumstances. These financial aid options are subject to the school's scholarship regulations.
