Living Stone International School (LSIS) began as the founder's vision in 2005, arising from missionary work in the Philippines led by Korean entrepreneur Mr. Un Seok Paek. June 6, 2007 marked the formal start of LSIS as an institution for basic education. In its early years (2007–2008), LSIS operated Fifth and Sixth Grades in elementary and First and Third Year in secondary, starting with 17 students, and was granted government authority to operate by the Department of Education. Government Recognition followed in 2009, and enrollment grew to about 640 students in the 2019–2020 school year. LSIS emphasizes its JOY motto—Jesus first, Others second, Yourself third—and describes its community as built on Christian values.
LSIS packages its school community through student-led structures and coordinated activities. The Student Council represents student interests and works with the Office of Student Affairs to plan events and programs. God's Gift Hour provides a dedicated Activity Day with clubs such as Science, Math, Robotics, Swimming, Badminton, Basketball, and more, enabling students to develop talents. The school's outreach includes Values Education-led activities with beneficiaries like Ima's Home for Children, Bahay Pag-ibig, Munting Tahanan ng Nazareth, and Haduan, where students organize feeding programs, storytelling, and games.
LSIS supports formal parent–teacher engagement through a dedicated Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) Room and Conference Room within the school facilities. The school community appears to maintain an active parent presence through onboarding and ongoing meetings, including events described as New Parents' Orientation and All Parents' Meeting in 2025. The New Parents' Orientation was scheduled for June 5, 2025, in the Performing Arts Room (4F building), with an All Parents' Meeting planned for June 21, 2025. Reminders about a Parents' Meeting for Grade School and High School parents were posted as part of the school calendar of activities. Parent involvement is also evident in broader family activities and events where parents attend, such as celebrations featuring student wellness and academic activities, including a Kindergarten healthy-plate day and annual dental check-ups.
