French remains the language of instruction at the core of the curriculum, with English used extensively via the International Section and in the bilingual track. The BFI track requires English proficiency at CEFR C1 and includes English-language components beyond the standard French baccalaureate. FLE (French as a Foreign Language) provides targeted support for non-French-speaking students, with placement, small-group instruction, and CEFR-aligned levels from A1 to B2. The school emphasizes multilingualism, with students commonly bilingual in French and English and many speaking three languages.
The American International Section offers a bilingual curriculum with enhanced instruction in English and North American culture from Grade 1 (CP) through to the French International Baccalaureate (BFI) in Première and Terminale. The International Section is the result of an agreement between the French Ministry of Education and the USA. For the 2025–2026 school year, levels open include Elementary International Section (CP–CE2, CM1–CM2); Middle School (6ème–3ème); High School (2nde); and BFI in Première and Terminale. The BFI includes additional exams in three subjects, with a required CEFR English level of C1.
Multilingualism is embedded in the LFM environment through the International Section, which provides an immersive English-language experience alongside French instruction. All students are bilingual in French and English, and many speak at least three languages. The FLE program for non-French speakers creates an immersive French-learning environment, with intensive initial instruction, small groups, and gradual integration into regular classes. CEFR-aligned levels for FLE range from A1 to B2.
The Lycée Français de Manille (LFM) is a French international school located on the Eurocampus in Parañaque, south of Metro Manila, on a 2-hectare site shared with the German European School Manila. The campus includes 25 classrooms, a 170 m2 library, an auditorium, a computer room, two science laboratories, a 100 m2 cafeteria, and an infirmary, plus sport facilities such as two swimming pools, a football field, a gym, and multiple outdoor play areas and a running track. LFM offers two pathways: a traditional European curriculum and an American International Section (AIS) that provides bilingual English instruction and North American culture from CP to the French International Baccalaureate (BFI) in Première and Terminale. Most teaching is in French, with English language support and strong English immersion in AIS. The school serves around 320 students from about 38 nationalities and is AEFE-affiliated. The campus emphasizes sports, sustainable development, and international higher education opportunities.
