The Lycée Français de Manille traces its origins to the French school established in Manila in 1973. In the late 1980s, the French and German schools in Manila agreed to share a single campus, initiating the Eurocampus project. In January 1991, the French school held an extraordinary assembly to empower its management to pursue the Eurocampus acquisition, which was finalized as part of the Eurocampus development in 1992. The Eurocampus was founded with Olivier Gaussot, Alain Chancerelle, Louis-Paul Heussaff and Philippe Gauthier forming the founding Franco–German team, the first project of its kind in the world. The Lycée Français de Manille operates on the Eurocampus as an independent school within the AEFE network, sharing facilities with the German European School Manila while retaining its own French tutelle.
The LFM sits on the Eurocampus, shared with the German European School Manila, and serves about 320 students from 38 nationalities on a green, two-hectare campus. The school offers a bilingual pathway through the American International Section (IS) alongside the standard European curriculum, including the French Baccalaureate International (BFI). The school's governance includes the Association des Parents d'Élèves (APE) and a Management Committee, with a General Assembly that meets twice a year to involve parents in major decisions. The Eurocampus is governed jointly through the Joint Administrative Committee (JAC), coordinating shared matters between LFM and GESM.
The LFM is governed by the Association des Parents d'Élèves (APE), the Parents' Association that manages the school under AEFE. All parents of students enrolled are members of the APE, which elects a seven-member Board for renewable three-year terms. The Management Committee (CG) meets monthly and works through several specialized groups (Finance, Infrastructure & Security, Human Resources, Parents, Development, Legal & Compliance, Local Relations) to support school administration. The General Assembly brings together all parents and votes on major school policy twice a year (April and October), with each family having one vote. The School Council and the Joint Administrative Committee (JAC) coordinate shared decisions for the Eurocampus, meeting at least three times per school year. Contact for the APE/CG matters is comitegestionmembersonly@gmail.com.
The Lycée Français de Manille (LFM) is a French international school located on the Eurocampus in Parañaque, south of Metro Manila, on a 2-hectare site shared with the German European School Manila. The campus includes 25 classrooms, a 170 m2 library, an auditorium, a computer room, two science laboratories, a 100 m2 cafeteria, and an infirmary, plus sport facilities such as two swimming pools, a football field, a gym, and multiple outdoor play areas and a running track. LFM offers two pathways: a traditional European curriculum and an American International Section (AIS) that provides bilingual English instruction and North American culture from CP to the French International Baccalaureate (BFI) in Première and Terminale. Most teaching is in French, with English language support and strong English immersion in AIS. The school serves around 320 students from about 38 nationalities and is AEFE-affiliated. The campus emphasizes sports, sustainable development, and international higher education opportunities.
